The Urban Oasis was a staging location for the Obama get out the vote effort in the Intown Atlanta voting precincts. Dene Shepherd tirelessly organized the minions for this effort and got to be a good friend and now business partner of mine in our recent start-up web design business, New Tricks. In fact, The Urban Oasis also doubles as the New Tricks World Headquarters. It is a fine place to work and with the gardens and tranquility, you would never guess it was only one mile from downtown.
